Energetic, fast paced thrash metal, with some terrible choice for clean vocals; yes this Brazilians are pretty good, and their music has the perfect combination of old school basics and modern sound that keeps you engaged through their entire 30 minute Scribbles in Blood.

It becomes clear that one of their main influences is Exodus when you hear the cover “Strike Of The Beast”; and well before that you can hear it on their relentless drum attack and groovy riffs that carry thrash into a more “understandable” road; hey there is nothing wrong with bringing some catchy “groovy” tunes into thrash; but there are some that are allergic to good rhythm so I can see some already complaining.

Scribbles in Blood can be downloaded for free on their provisional web page and that makes the band a bit more interesting, is nothing new anymore but it’s a practice only performed by very few bands; still they are doing everything they can to spread their music all over the world without the backing of a big record label, and really what better way than to just give the album for free; I believe this is actually a great merchandising tool for small underground bands, it really can’t hurt them, because if nobody knows them, no body buys their albums, but after giving an album for free they will be known and maybe they can recover some money with their second full length that can be sold… well its just an idea!

Back to the record; it is fun and fast there is no question, the whisky type vocals are nice, not very well polished but they do the work, while the clean vocals are totally a disaster, perhaps one of the only really bad things on the album, maybe they need to either reconsider their use or change the singer for those segments; but the rest is quite good, fun enjoyable thrash with groove.
