After a close listen to their latest album D.E.M.O.N, I realize that this Mini-CD is way better, not in general sound and production, but in how they managed to mix beauty and melancholic atmospheres without loosing sight of the kind of black metal Alastor is now famous for.

This is a sort of melodic yet raw black metal, with great keyboards and atmospheric insertions that create a great environment of darkness and beauty. I don’t really like the way they distributed this Mini-CD but that’s just my annoying attitude of always wanting more of a good thing; five songs, from which 3 are actually songs and larger than 10 minutes each, the other 2 are more close to interludes than atmospheric pieces ranging from 1:26 minutes and 1:37 minutes.

The first track “Blackart Masterpiece (The Triumph Over The Death)” is a nice complicated piece including keyboards, raw black metal guitars and fast drums, the song is involving and even though is long as hell is manages to maintain your attention thanks to the melodic segments between all the typical black metal shrieks and the distorted guitars.

“Through Asmodeo's Blackened Flames”, is like I said before something like an interlude, a slow keyboard piece with some atmospheric sounds.

“The Four in Unisono” is a catchier track than “Blackart…” still it carries the same attributes but they include in a greater amount, back up vocals faded way back into the song, as well as a couple of death metal like growls.

I don’t particularly like the way the drums are placed on the album, they sound void and maybe they deserve a bigger role; is like they preferred the keyboards to stand over the general production instead of the drums, they probably had their reasons for that.

“Eternal Tears” when you hear this track you will be transported to a big deserted church or cathedral, how ever you may want to call it, very atmospheric and intriguing interlude.

“The Universe's Pillars Fall” it seems like they left the best for last, good thinking; this track has the best keyboard, drum and vocal interpretation of the entire album; the song is strong, melodic and intriguing, really a good way to end this album.

Eternal Tears Through Asmodeo's Blackened Flames, is an album for black metal lovers; the sound is bad, but if they ever re-record this record it will surely receive some great reviews
