Stupid intro… with that said I can begin to worship this guys, I can begin to worship the “anal gods”. Death metal played as raw, as primal and as inventive as they come; killer guitar, thundering drums, clear bass, evil vocals and a touch of early 90’s thrash that gives this entire album a fresh yet nostalgic sound.
The production is quite thin, it sounds almost like a live album, still all the instruments have their own lines and they can be easily understood.
The songs vary from English to Spanish lyrics; both languages are presented at their best, sometimes bands that try to do this “mix” end up with either a stronger English interpretation or a Spanish one, but Anal Vomit found a way to make both languages sound great.
Just for amusement… this guys sound like the spawn of Early Destruction and Early Sepultura (there is a nicely interpreted cover from the Brazilians on the record). Possessor’s vocals go from a rough growl to a more high pitch scream just like Schmier does it for Destruction, and this is were the “smell” of good old metal resides; the guitars have hyper fast lines meanwhile the drums sound almost like the early Igor Cavalera would have played them.
To mention specific songs that stand out on the album would be unfair for this great piece of art, but if you insist, “Kingdom of the Cruelty II” is fast, catchy, evil and shit just great, the song evolves as the seconds go by, is never boring or easy to decipher but still demands your attention and your headbanging.
Every track has a nice structure that never gets old, the solos are included just when they are needed the most, and the vocals just seem to blend perfectly with the intensity and the speed of the songs.
To conclude if this guys are given a proper producer, and a proper studio, they could be huge, it’s just a matter of time before they can be crowed South Americas new death metal king.
