I have heard very few if not non black metal albums that begin with a thick bass line, then again I haven’t listen to THAT many black metal albums so I might be wrong or even been prejudice by been surprised that a black metal band can and wants to use a strong bass line on their records; but apart from that surprise on the intro of this “Final Extermination” there are no surprises here.

Raw underground Bolivian metal, it has that certain thrash “feeling” that makes Latin black metal so appealing, something like Ammit or Goat Semen, very intense straight forward, uncompromising and plain brutal. Bestial Holocaust (really cool name by the way) blends classic black vocals, with thrash riffs and a “Schmier” like scream from time to time that takes you back to the early stages of black history, and yes the same bad sound is thrown in the mix for a better effect (Destruction that is).

All the songs are sang in Spanish and the lyrics are as blasphemous as you can dream of, with titles like “Masturbación Divina” (Divine masturbation) and lyrics like “Devoto de la carne, El semen de la muerte” (Flesh devotee, is death’s semen) the record like I said before doesn’t offer anything new expect for the nice use of the bass in some segments.

If you have lived of at least gone to either Peru or Bolivia you will identify the accent, something that at least for me brings back so many memories, and is good to see some bands actually writing lyrics in their own language, and make it sound good, none the less there are moments in which the vocals are a bit forced to fit on the rhythms, something that can be fixed in future albums no doubt.

Final Extermination is for “hardcore” black fans, those that like under produced, blasphemic, straightforward black, for the rest is just going to sound a bit like a garage band, but there lays the beauty of type of music, is primal and uncompromising.
