Don’t know if this Brazilian band is still together, or what kind of a deal do they have with French label Listenable Records (that’s why is nice to have a web site), but the thing is that “Chaos, Bringer Of All Revelations” is a great mix of Brazilian extreme death metal and American brutality, something like putting together Nile and Krisiun.

The riffs are straight up brutal and somehow technical; the main factor for Horned God seems to be aggression, every riff, every rhythm they begin to develop ends up in a discharge of brutality that can be a little confusing to those who don’t find Krisiun a “easy to understand” band. None the less, the band tries to place some groove in every song I say try because just after a couple of seconds everything falls apart and ends up becoming an intricate technical display of abilities.

This is one of those albums that only a true death metal fan is going to appreciate, since the drums are fast as hell, the riffs are not very elaborate but precise and brutal, and the vocals…well the vocals are just the way they are supposed to be.

The album is fast, is death metal, but it lacks of song individuality; there are some nice fast solos placed here and there, and those moments really make it worth a listen, is just that they focused too much in displaying un-control aggression and tried to set songs apart by placing different velocities in their solos, and even though they did pull out some great solos like I said before, this segments don’t really reach the point where you actually remember a song thanks to them.

To sum up, great guitar, great drum, great talent and aggression, if they could just find a better way to make everything fit with out sounding out of control this band could be great.
