Nu metal…before you run to the hills and far away, you better give this band and this record a chance, its true that is Nu metal and many don’t expect anything good from this genre, but wait, because this record has the power that many death metal bands try to achieve by hitting their drums as hard as they can.

Like many other bands of the genre they have a very big line up (7 in this record, 6 present day), and no they don’t were masks and proclaims they did it first. This record is heavy, aggressive and has bits and pieces of industrial elements that help them stand out from the crow of the already overpopulated nu metal scene. The guitar work is not impressive and they don’t have many long elaborated solos, but the riffs are catchy as hell.

Two of the things that stand out; 1.The drum work is well placed, well played and fits perfectly, 2.The industrial elements in it gave the entire record a very good atmosphere. Martin Cock’s vocals are like any other band from the genre, but occasionally he tries to explore a couple of death metal growls.

“The war of art” is a very well thought and produced album, thanks to Rick Rubin who has already worked with bands of the caliber of Slayer. The riffs in this one are fast, simple and deadly. You cant deny yourself from listening to this band and especially this record, just because they are nu metal, as a matter of fact American Head Charge can be consider as one of the best bands in this genre.
