“Death in Fire” this is the albums first song and its simply amazing, epic, unforgettable, well you get the idea. This is melodic death metal with a very unique sound.

Many have catalogue the band as Viking metal, but they have time and time again corrected that label by emphasizing that their roots lie in melodic death, and just their lyrics are of Viking origins.

This album doesn’t only have a very unique and characteristic sound; it also has good, well thought lyrics, something hard to find these days; “Live for honor, glory, death in fire!” that’s a clear example of many of the novel words that this record launches at you in every song. This record is not fast and brutal, is powerful and played with precision; Johann Hegg can be catalog after listening to the record as one of death metal’s best singers. The guitars are very well placed and manage to give that melancholic atmosphere that relate very closely to the lyrics; the drums do their part more than fairly, they are a thunder behind Johann’s voice.

One of the best qualities of this album other than Johann Hegg’s voice is the freedom in which the guitars carry their melodies; they can be at moments melodic and “romantic” and in a second later, heavy and deadly. Fredrik Andersson in the drums shows us that to be good you don’t have to exaggerate, his drumming fist perfectly with everything, and you can tell right away the great talent he has, maybe the whole drum part is a little left to the back of the production, but they did this to create a better atmosphere.

You better buy this record is you consider yourself a metal fan!
