Talk about aggression, as this seems to be the creed by which Dew Scented write their music. “Incinerate” is a modern day thrash album with a wide array of riffs that vary from old school thrash ala Slayer and Exodus to more complex death metal chugging. The album starts off with the intro “Exordium” and gives a gentle pass to “Vanish Away”. This song basically sets the tone of the album with a meaty guitar sound often lacking in bands that brag about their so-called “undisputed aggression”. The frantic speed at which the band plays stays constant through out the album. “Final Warning” has some more death metal riffing that accentuates very well Leif Jensen’s pissed off attitude in his singing (at times you would feel he’d be more fitting in a hardcore band).

The band doesn’t waste time in getting to the point, after the one-two punch of “Vanish Away” and “Final Warning” the band serves the best of the album “That’s Why I Despise You”. The song starts off with some back and forth riffing that is more grooving than usual, but that only leads the way to a furious performance by all members. Fast bass guitar work that makes you cringe when you realize how fast this guys play; some thundering drumming and a mayhem of riffs and solos that make’s the band look as if they’re shitting lightning bolts. If you’re looking for melody or soothing sounds look elsewhere, this is an album for people who enjoy flawless musicianship layered among some of the most socially minded and focused lyrics.

This band has been around the block for quite some time now, and their seventh album is a truly incinerating piece of thrash metal that will grab listeners with some fury that will be hard to forget
