A constant and brutal attack on everything you hold dearly! This Hungarians don’t have a moment of rest during these 31 minutes of violence called “Human Race Deserves To Die”.
I know there is metal everywhere in the globe (even in Saudi Arabia) but I was quite amazed by the level of brutality within this band, I mean this guys literately blast through the entire record without any rest what’s so ever, definitely brutal but a little tiresome at some points, still a nice piece of warm, bloody metal.
The riffs are sharp are fast, so fast you have to pay a lot of attention on every track if you want to get exactly what they are doing, off course there are a couple of segments that you can get, but this are extremely rare; while the guitars are racing through brutal riffs, the bass is playing on a completely different level, sometimes launching solos that may fit a prog band better than a death metal act. The deep growls fit perfectly the kind of frenetic metal this guys play, you can’t understand shit of what Sándor is saying I didn’t even know on what language were the lyrics, but who cares when you are too busy headbanging and trying to follow this mad spar.
Now that I think a little harder there are two or three “let’s catch our breath” moments, and that’s on a couple of song introductions, you know those intros were they took a piece of some horror movie they liked and place it into the record, it seems that brutal bands love to do that, don’t know why really?
Perhaps all the almost uncontrollable violence on “Human Race Deserves To Die” makes every track sound the same, that taking away some nice instrumental segments that sadly are cover by the speed of some riffs and the constant attack of the double bass.
I think it will be a good idea that for their next album Gutted commits a little more to expose some of those great solos from the guitars and the bass, while achieving a more “controlled violence” and placing some “easy” to follow chorus; in overall this album is violent, maybe too violent!!!
