It may sound like a Dismember evil twin at times but don’t be mislead by my comparison, since Horrid can really kick you in the balls with out hesitation and still remain clear and catchy.
A good mix of tempo variations, different vocal approaches and a very…”Dismember like” guitars, take you on an evil ride through the brutality of this Italians.
Rising From The Hidden Spheres, is a death metal album that while providing brutality and anger with some nice deep growls and evil screams, still possesses enough melody to remain interesting an enjoyable. The vocals and guitars lead the way in this production, both displaying a nice range of individuality and creativity; the guitar riffs are sharp and melodic, while the vocals really provide that feeling of underground death metal, you know, sometimes dirty and resembling a gigantic burp. Perhaps the guitar effects used on some songs don’t really fit the general idea of some melodies, and the drums yet well performed are a bit dirty for my taste.
As a bonus you will find a video at the end of the album, a video for the song Rising From The Hidden Spheres, and is here where you can really hear and see the force within this guys, they seem way more destructive live than in a record, and I think that’s probably a great thing for any band.
This album is powerful most of the time but when the band falls on some slower segments the energy starts to fade and perhaps that’s when your attention will fade as well.
A couple of good tracks are: Come To Me and Rising From The Hidden Spheres.
