I have to admit, I hate the whole glam look, you know that whole “I wear more make up than a Cosmo front cover model and my clothes look just like the ones Paris Hilton is modeling on another event she’s not even nominated but still she attends as if she had any talent what so ever”, with that statement made, I have to also admit that Malice in Wonderland self-title debut is a great piece of Rock ‘n’ Roll.

A smart mix of hard rock, gothic atmospheres and some catchy pop elements, this Norwegians debut album is something to appreciate and remember; with songs like the strong intro “Lucifer's Town” that unfolds the whole idea within the band, you can begin to hear a little HIM as some of their influences, maybe not as gloomy as HIM, but certainly as romantic as the Finns.

“My Heart (Belongs To You)” introduces you to their romantic hard rock/gothic music, Chri$ Wicked vocals are mellow and pure velvet through out this nice track; the guitars do a great work helping every mood flow without any complication while they elaborate some memorable tunes and catchy chorus.

“In the End” can be one of those extremely depressing gothic tracks, with a piano setting the tone for a sad romantic song, and a slow interpretation from Wicked that really depresses you; but wait because right after this slumber “Heartache Boulevard” gets the fun back into MIW universe, maybe the most remarkable hard rock track on the album, my personal favorite on the album.

To summarize, you should really give this band a listen because they are showing a great amount of quality and talent, something that could guide them into hard rock stardom if they play their cards right.
