This is a very well though and precise album, with out losing that brutality and bizarre acid sound that this Swedish are used to throw at us. Something that we have to say before we start is that once you hear this band for the first time you will be able to recognize them anywhere.
The record begins without warning or time to get to shelter, brutal, fast and very original is Chaosphere once you had press play. This record in particular have been criticize by many for sounding all alike, and to a certain point they are right, the whole album never gets out of the line or style establish by the first track, and the vocal appear lifeless like from time to time. In stead of all this problems the record has a wild sound, authentic and very well executed by its members in every single instrument they play, but the drums take the price, they go so apart from the regular rhythm the guitars carried that it may seem confusing at times, but the point is that it gives and alternative sound that can only be done by a real professional, its rare and it complements all the other special arrangements this production brings.
It’s kind of hard to compare this band with any other in the metal world, because their sound is so peculiar, so peculiar that we can even make up a genre right now to talk about them, lets try, Meshuggah is thrash, hardcore, with a little electronic sounds, and a tiny jazz influence.
