Grab a bucket and prepare to discharge everywhere: we have a revolutionary band progressing symphonic influences we could never ponder! Well, I’d like to think that, but it ain’t happening. You see, Neurolepsia boast an agenda similar to Emperor’s final recordings, yet “The Apocalyptic Symphony” kindly covers the band’s feeble appearance with horrendous ideas that are both misleading and redundant; all while underground hype erects. If you think Neurolepsia is somehow pushing metal beyond its limits because of their musical label, forget about it. “The Apocalyptic Symphony” doesn’t do anything new, and these French imitators slowly perish beneath personal odds along with generic, boring instrumentation done millions of times before.

Setting the symphony aside, Neurolepsia enjoys fast riffs and rapid drumming! Time to party! No, it’s not. The demo’s basic structures gloat around death metal chops and basic tremolo picking cuts stuck in repetitive duds for minutes on end, not to mention everything emerging from the shredding hand has minimal originality at hindsight, if any at all. More so, the vocalist dives into nonsensical ‘oinks’ quite often, which says a lot about Neurolepsia’s approach despite the grunts not having any literal meaning. Essentially, very half-assed death metal has its payday, but not without a little touch of deathcore vocals for uncontrolled urination. Too bad medical facilities don’t have vaccines for these particular items.

Also, I keep awaiting this symphonic rush…where is it? Kids, haven’t you been taught the woes of mistruths? You get hopes up, and then they just sigh and walk away disappointed…how shameful. Somebody should teach Neurolepsia to actually apply these instrumental colors instead of hopping around whilst yelling, “Oh yea! We use symphonies! Yea we do! Free drinks for everyone!” Truth is, only select instances demonstrate such musicianship, and clearly in short frames that can’t bring enough of it out; when the people starve, feed them, dolts! Basically, you’ll have mediocre stints paved with erratic horns and whatever else removing filth-laden notions Neurolepsia praises, but besides that, there’s very tiny symphonic qualities against the bigger picture. False advertising is punishable by bad ratings and a slamming fist of hatred! Get back, you scum!

“The Apocalyptic Symphony” has a little symbolism attached upon itself:

Neurolepsia seems comfortable as they charge towards their personal doomsday. Yes, there cannot be any doubt these gentlemen are confused at their demo-age material, plus Neurolepsia openly worships modernized influences tainting the tiny reputation they’ve collected throughout this atrocity; serious improvement better happen, or we’ll see an utter meltdown that could internally ruin this group from suggesting the slightest bit of rejuvenation upon the texture “The Apocalyptic Symphony” acquires. Needless to say, this obsolete formula demands dramatic change, else Neurolepsia will soon be friends with the nearest morgue in France. Please, avoid like a military draft, alright?
