Shemhamforash can be split in two parts, the first 4 tracks presenting a nice formula of death/blacked metal that uses only a couple of thrash influences and riffs to present us with memorable, fast, evil and very well polished songs; and the remaining 5 songs that fall short, way short in following the ability of their antecessors to keep the listener interested.

Revelation of Doom is the creation of ex-Hate “Kaos” who apparently stopped “digging” what his fellow country man were doing and decided to start a more satanic, heavier and darker project; and for once this is a split that I enjoyed, mainly because now we have two very good bands playing as brutal and heavy music as it can come to their Polish minds and ohh boy are this Polish kids gone wild with this metal “stuff”!

Two unbelievable catchy tracks make the second effort from this hellish band a more than average release; sadly both of those tracks don’t really catapult Shemhamforash beyond interesting and fun… so I guess will just call it above average then! (Now that’s called lack of imagination from my part!). Which tracks you might ask? The great introduction Six Six Six and the formidable The Goatwhore; the first one been introduced by some pointless atmospheric sounds that do provide some sort of surprise when the song exploits in your ears, fast, short and memorable, Six Six Six gives you some great hopes and makes you listen to the entire album, expecting for more, sadly Revelation of Doom only follows this great first impression with the other track I just mention The Goatwhore, a song with nice timing variations and killer riffs.

Shemhamforash will help you wash down the bad after taste left behind by any nu metal album, but it will not be the main course in your playlist, still it is an entertainment record.
