If you want a quick fix of blackened thrash “Chaos Rising” will definitely clinch your thirst, but if you are looking for something that can be played over and over in your CD player/mp3 player or if you are cool enough to have an LP player, then look some place else, because Suicidal Winds don’t offer anything memorable.

The main problem with the album is the way they manage to keep every song plain, simple and impossible to be remembered, is almost as if they tried to be forgotten after one spin, and I’m been so “negatively critical” here because these guys sound like they can give much more; every track has more than standard guitar lines and in a song like Destruction Invocation they almost… almost made a memorable track, but for what ever reason they decided to drop or better put isolate the catchiest riffs that track had, transforming it into just another terrible uneventful moment.

A band with a long career as Suicidal Winds, must have better records, so it will be safe to say that if you want to give the band the opportunity to “seduce” you; better just buy another one of their four albums (not including their live ones, and the demos and ep) surely you’ll be able to find something that sticks out of the ordinary, but hey don’t take my word for it, since luckily I have only heard this one! Still and I take you back to my earlier comments, if what you are looking for is a quick, extremely quick fix of black/thrash metal, then Chaos Rising might have a couple of riffs that will do the trick for you.
